Because you're the expert on your business – not me. You have a strategy and I want to understand it so I can help you achieve your targets.
I do my research
What are your competitors doing? What makes your product or service stand out in the marketplace? Who are your customers? How does what you're selling make people's lives better? I want to know all these things and more so I can communicate to the world what makes your business great.
I create a concept
This could be as simple as 'buying this product saves you time', or a slightly more abstract idea like 'buying this product tells the world you are a success', depending on what you want to achieve. Having a concept guides and focuses the copy and makes sure messages are clear, consistent and drive people to take action.
I write and rewrite
I see copywriting as almost like sculpting: you get a load of material and then you chip away at until you create something beautiful. That's how I approach my craft. Also, unlike some creatives, I'm not secretive and won't hide my work away until I think it's finished. I'm happy for my clients to see drafts and to be involved as much as they want to be with it's development.
I never miss a deadline
I never have and never will. Just couldn't live with myself if I did. I always deliver what I say I will on time and within budget without compromising the quality or integrity of my work.
